About the game

Help Spectra to purge ghosts and souls that appeared in the city : use your magic wand, shoot ghost (by clicking/touching them) and slay souls (by slicing them).

Be careful, ghost do not like to be sliced, and souls do not like to be touched ! Any wrong movement might cause ectoplasms to go frenzy. 

About the development

This small game version has been created for the Magic Girl Game Jam 8, held in September 2023, and also targets the Improved My Game Jam #29.

My target, with this development, was to test game controls and mechanics for a short game I'd like to release on mobile and pc. I decided to go for a mix of shooting and slicing controls, and built the game mechanics around them.  As usual, with Arcade Eleven : the game has to be arcade/action-oriented.

My personal challenge here, was to publish something after a pretty long break, in a pretty short JAM time (2.5 evenings for the MGGJ8). For this very first version,  I focused on mechanics and having a playable version, with no time to develop a short story nor polish graphics integration.

However, it's always very interesting to deal with constraints, and I had fun. I tried not to harm too many ghosts during the development. Now, please take care of them ! ;)
